Warnings & limitations
We'd rather you know the truth up front than find it out later.
Cadence is not invisible, and not untraceable
- Every edit is made through your own signed-in Google account. The document's revision history attributes the writing to you.
- While a run is active, Chrome shows a banner saying an extension is debugging the browser. It's local to your machine, but it is visible on your screen.
- Google Docs keeps precise timestamps. A session that runs at an unusual hour, or in an unusual pattern, still looks like what it is.
- Google may detect automation through its own telemetry. We make no promise that it won't.
What it actually does
Cadence rewrites text in a more human voice and then types it character by character with realistic rhythm, plausible keyboard mistakes, corrections, and thinking pauses. That produces a real, granular revision history instead of a single bulk paste. That is the whole of it.
AI text is still AI text
Humanizing prose changes the wording, not the origin. AI-detection tools, stylistic comparison against your prior work, and a reader who knows your voice can all still raise questions. Cadence cannot make text "pass" anything, and anyone promising that is lying to you.
Requirements and failure modes
- Chrome must stay open, awake, and online for the whole run.
- The target document tab must stay open and must not lose focus mid-run.
- Closing the laptop, sleeping the machine, or quitting Chrome pauses or fails the session. Two-sitting runs need the browser available when the break ends.
- Google Docs UI changes can break typing without warning.
Your responsibility
- Using Cadence to misrepresent authorship in school or at work can violate academic-integrity policies, employment rules, or contracts. Those consequences are yours.
- Automating Google Docs may conflict with Google's Terms of Service. Cadence is not affiliated with Google.
- Don't paste other people's confidential, personal, or regulated data into a draft.
No guarantees
Cadence is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind and no guarantee of availability, accuracy, non-detection, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any outcome that results from using it.
